- Swim Lessons
Ana Claire Mancia loves to be in the water more than anything in the world. A native to Los Angeles, Ana has been swimming since the age of three. Being in the water is her source of peace, because everything is silent; voices can no longer be heard, and the sound of LA traffic dissipate with the waves. She mastered the art of swimming at a young age, and became a lifeguard in high school for the City of Santa Monica. She also swam competitively throughout high school, and was varsity captain for two years. In both her junior and senior years, she qualified to compete at the CIF Southern Section Division 3 Championships.
She currently studies Business Administration at the University of California, Berkeley, and has been teaching swimming since 2011. Ana is very passionate about sharing her love of the water to many people. She believes everyone must learn to swim, especially in California, because it is such an important life-skill to know.
Through One with the Water, Ana has worked with hundreds of clients across LA County to teach the life-skill of swimming and reduce the number of children at risk for drowning. She has helped with the expansion and development of the organization, and believes that every person is capable of learning to swim. Ana’s mission is to share her love of swimming with as many clients as possible and help them master the intricacies of the sport. As she embarks on her fifth year at One with the Water, she has come to regard the organization as an integral part of her life, because it provides her with an opportunity to help others achieve their goals and overcome their fears.
