Swim Team for Kids - Dolphin Swim Team - Level I

One with the Water is proud to offer a swim team for kids in Los Angeles. We teach competitive swimming skills to help your child progress to a serious level. We provide year-round training for those that want to learn to compete. The team attends three optional meets a year within the local Los Angeles area. This program is designed to help swimmers learn and improve skills, maintain and increase physical fitness, achieve success and receive recognition through competition, and experience self-actualization in an aquatics environment.

Practices are weekly, on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, at the Maggie Gilbert Aquatics Center. The coach to swimmer ratio for this group is about 6 swimmers per coach.

One-on-One: Private Swim Lessons

Trying to join the Swim Team for Kids and prefer private swimming lessons? Private swim lessons for kids are now available. Swim workouts should be varied, each workout with a purpose or focus, and a proper amount of time allotted for building endurance, improving technique, increasing speed, developing open water-specific skills, and recovery. While the optimum training mix is specific to each individual (for example, new swimmers would spend more time working on technique, while elite swimmers spend less time on technique and more on building endurance) all swimmers should hit all of these bases. Our coaches will incorporate your child's goals and design the best lesson for your child!
