Coach Devin Brady has been coaching swimming—novice youth teams up through college-level athletes and adult masters swimmers—for 14 years. He joined his first competitive swim team at the age of four and has been competing ever since, not just in swimming but in water polo and triathlon races. He credits his former coaches with teaching him about goal-setting and perseverance, which is why he is passionate about giving back to the sport by currently serving as Head Coach of the Culver City High School Swim Team. Growing up in Hawaii allowed him to also enjoy surfing, diving, and fishing, so he understands that being in the water doesn’t always mean you’re sprinting in a pool. Sometimes swimming is just about having fun and relaxing. Although known for his easy-going coaching style, he always strives to push his swimmers and help them achieve their goals.
