April is Adult Learn-to-Swim Month and One with the Water® is committed to Preventing Adult Drowning in Our Community
One with the Water® is joining in with multiple national organizations in the campaign to help prevent adult drowning. We want you to know about the campaign and encourage others to join us. To date, the governors of Indiana, Nebraska, Washington, Maine, New Jersey, and Florida have issued proclamations in support.
Did you know that according to the Centers for Disease Control, 37 percent of American adults can’t swim the length of a standard 25-yard pool. Even more alarming, 10 people drown every day in the U.S., and 8 of those are adults or young adults.
One with the Water® doesn’t ignore these statistics and to show our support in eradicating this issue, we are joining in and declaring April as the Adult Learn To Swim Month with One with the Water. For Adults that desire to learn to swim, during the month of April 2014, we will give 1 free lesson to clients that purchase a package of 8 lessons or more. Typically, adults in our programs learn to swim within 4 lessons or less, but we are aiming to help you develop a new skill that will offer you a lifetime of health and happiness, an easy fitness regimen.
How do we teach Adults to Swim in 4 Hours?
1. We are swimming experts. We teach the best and most efficient approach to the most pertinent skills of swimming: Breathing, Balance, Kicking, and Pulling. We break it down to simple achievable goals to help everyone succeed.
2. We get to know you as a person – your fears and your strengths. Instead of wasting time on building your weaknesses, we work with your strengths to achieve your goals quickly.
3. We make you feel comfortable and secure. We are certified and accredited coaches with 10,000 plus hours of experience. You are safe with us. Our clients tell us how the fitness, health, and social benefits of swimming are life-changing and sometimes, literally lifesaving. Once we teach you the basic skills of swimming, we will help you to join your local Masters Swimming program to continue your new healthy lifestyle.
On a planet that’s 70 percent water, everyone should know how to swim; and be One with the Water.
